Motorola Edge leaks with curved waterfall display, Snapdragon 765 SoC and more
Motorola is gearing up to launch its 2020 flagship smartphone, the Motorola Edge+. The phone name was first revealed by tipster Evan Blass. Alleged live images of the device were leaked as well. It was spotted featuring a curved display with a punch-hole display. Now, a toned-down version of the flagship, the Motorola Edge has appeared online. It is seen to sport a vertical triple-camera array at the rear and a waterfall display on the front.
The latest development comes from XDA-Developers. The Motorola Edge is said to feature a 6.67-inch "waterfall" display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The single punch-hole cutout housing a 25MP selfie camera. Unlike the flagship, the Edge is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset, paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The phone is seen to have a triple camera array at the back. It is placed alongside the dual LED flash and laser auto-focus module. The phone is likely to sport a 64MP primary camera, a 16MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto sensor. It is rumored to pack a 4500mAh battery. Further, the phone is said to feature an under-display optical fingerprint sensor, dual speakers, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the other hand, Motorola Edge+ is tipped to be powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipset. It is said to come in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants. It may pack a 5170mAh battery. However, there is no word on fast charging yet. The phone was also spotted on Geekbench. It scored 4106 in the single-core test and recorded a score of 12823 in the multi-core test. The phones are likely to run Android 10.
